FROM IDEA TO PUBLICATION – GUIDED RESEARCH SUPPORT

About The Research Help Desk

Research in older adults is essential to address multimorbidity, frailty, functional decline, and health system challenges in an ageing population. The SLAGM RHD aims to strengthen locally relevant evidence to improve care, policy, and outcomes for older people in Sri Lanka.

The SLAGM Research Help Desk (RHD) supports postgraduate trainees, medical officers, and healthcare professionals to plan, conduct, and publish high-quality research focused on older adults. The RHD provides structured guidance from selecting a research topic to final publication.

Support is delivered through a national network of expert resource persons covering almost all provinces in Sri Lanka. Consultations can be arranged either online or face-to-face, depending on the preference of the researcher.

Inspired by international best practice, our aim is to offer a structured, step-by-step pathway and a supportive research community.
